FALL RIVER, Mass, May 5, 2003— Combining flexibility, high efficiency and energy savings, Lightolier’s Paraplus is a versatile family of direct/indirect architecturally styled recessed luminaires.

These recessed luminaires incorporate a white aluminum louver with a prismatic acrylic overlay and a soft-looking contoured body to create a new, aesthetically pleasing look.

Paraplus is available in 2x4, 2x2 and 1x4 sizes with multiple lamp options ranging from linear T8 and T5 lamps to twin tube T5 lamps in the 2x2 luminaire. Paraplus provides a high degree of efficiency, the 2x4 two-light 54HO unit features an efficiency rating of 82%.

For ease of installation, the louver of the Paraplus hinges from either side of the fixture. The standard unit is suitable for both Grid and Slot Grid ceiling types. On a Slot Grid ceiling, Paraplus fits flush to the face of the Slot Grid. Paraplus is the only luminaire of this style that passes the UL requirement (UL 1598, Paragraph 9.2.2.5 Large Scale Fallout) for air return capabilities. Paraplus can also be row-mounted in continuous rows. The housing is 20-gauge steel and four earthquake clips come standard with each unit for securing the fixture to the T-bar.
